In the spring, when the charming Ipomoea flowers and colorful azaleas brightly lit up the streets, the 79th Overseas Visiting Group visited Korea with smiles as bright as the flowers. The group, consisting of about 120 members, included members from 20 countries such as the United States, Canada, Peru, Brazil, Spain, the United Kingdom, South Africa, New Zealand, and the Philippines. These individuals, working in various professional fields such as law, medicine, academia, media, and business, arrived around April 25 for a 7-night, 8-day schedule, during which they renewed their commitment as prophets who will fulfill the will of God in the Age of the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Mother welcomed the visiting group with love, who had flown to Heavenly Jerusalem like doves according to the prophecy in the book of Isaiah. She comforted them for their devotion and hard work in fulfilling their duties both inside and outside the church and encouraged them, praying that as leaders in their respective fields, they would lead the world with hope as children of God. Mother encouraged them by saying, “You are truly happy people who have been promised the true treasure, the kingdom of heaven.” She added, “Take pride in being figures of prophecy, and deliver the joyful news of salvation to the many lost and wandering souls by illuminating the world with the glory of God, as the prophets who save humanity.” Mother carefully examined whether the members were facing any difficulties due to jet lag and ensured their health was alright. Observing such an example from Mother, the members learned love, humility, and servanthood that leaders should embody spiritually and physically.

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol emphasized the value of the truth of the new covenant, and awakened the duty and pride of the members through the sermon he delivered during the worship service. He said, “Let us be thankful for allowing us to inherit God’s flesh and blood and become citizens of heaven through the Passover. Living a life that pleases God and spreading the gospel with love, let us bring changes to the world.”

Mother hoped that the members, who had come to Korea despite their busy lives, would receive abundant enlightenment and grace. In line with Mother’s hope, the group’s schedule was filled with programs to deepen their faith. After gaining firm conviction in the truth by studying the Bible, touring the Church of God History Museum, and visiting the exhibition “Media’s Views on the Church of God,” the members reflected on the enduring love of the older generation, steeped in the intricate history of Korea, through the “Father’s True Heart” Exhibition and the “Our Mother” Writing & Photo Exhibition. These experiences impressed upon them the love of Heavenly Father and Mother in their hearts. When visiting local churches and the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute, they shared the love of heavenly family with Korean members. Exploring places like the Elohim Training Institute, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul Sky Observatory, and aquariums, they savored the ambiance of spring days. In the warm hospitality from Korean members wherever they went, they made unforgettable memories with brothers and sisters from all over the world.

“People believe that doctors will save them, but in reality, we cannot provide fundamental life. Physical life is ultimately finite. I want to share the joy of eternal life by proclaiming God’s word of living water.” Doctor Juan Carlos Marquez Romero from Queretaro, Mexico

“I’ve been serving in the Marines for 19 years. Soldiers are often exposed to extreme situations such as war, making hope all the more crucial. I’m committed to proclaiming the hope of heaven to people.” NCO Kenneth Earl Koonce from Marine Corps, Niles, IL, U.S.

After completing a short but fruitful itinerary, each overseas member returned to their home country, reflecting on their commitment to faith. We are envisioning a future brighter than a spring day, when we will be with our heavenly family in glorious heaven forever.

On April 28, at the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute, a national gathering of title and position holders took place, attended by approximately 11,000 Korean pastoral staff, title and position holders, as well as members of the overseas visiting group. Even before the event began, the training institute was buzzing with cheers from Korean members waving national flags and welcoming the visiting group.
Through the first part of worship service, Mother expressed Her earnest wish to deliver the treasures of eternal life and salvation to many people. With renewed resolve, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol once again instilled in the members the vision to gain abundant gospel talents and complete evangelism for 8 billion people.
The second part of the event, featuring a diverse array of programs including performances by the Messiah Orchestra, songs by the united choir, and dynamic performances highlighting the passion of students and young adults, served as an opportunity to awaken to the love of Heavenly Father and Mother. It was a moment to express gratitude to Father and Mother for Their blessings, and to realize the warmth of family love. Videos produced by overseas members from countries such as the United States, Mongolia, and Japan also delivered inspiration and enlightenment.
Jean Mathieu Teissier from Berlin, Germany, expressed, “When many members welcomed me, shouting ‘We Love You,’ my heart was filled with joy as if I was previewing the welcome I would receive from angels in heaven. With such great love received, I am more determined than ever to do my best to spread the gospel.” Ilinca-Maria Mănescu from Bucharest, Romania, expressed, “The kingdom of heaven is a great blessing that cannot be exchanged for anything on earth, but its value will remain unknown if there is no one to share it. Inspired by the love of Mother, who always guides us toward heaven, I will fulfill my mission of guiding the Romanian people toward heaven.”
