of the Church of God. The Church of God helps its neighbors and communities
with sincere volunteer services in a world where individualism and selfishness are prevalent.
Governments of many different countries and institutions have awarded the Church
with more than 4,800 medals, citations, and certificates of recognition and appreciation.

U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award
The most prestigious volunteer service award in the U.S.
Lifetime Achievement Award
(highest honor for an individual) &
Gold Award (highest honor for a group, 58 times)
The U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award is a premier volunteer award given to individuals or groups that have carried out volunteer services for neighbors and communities in the United States. According to the hours of service achievement, the award is classified into three levels, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of volunteer service in their lifetime receive the highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, in addition to receiving the Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards.
The Church of God’s contribution to communities and the nation through diverse volunteer services–such as environmental cleanups, blood drives, disaster recovery, and welfare for seniors and people in need–has been awarded with the Gold Award, the highest honor for a group, and with the Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest honor for an individual.

Proclamation of the Church of God Day
The Cities of Denver, Orlando, and San Diego declared a commemorative day for the Church of God and encouraged their citizens to join its volunteer services.
Awards from Ten Metropolitan Boroughs
of Greater Manchester in the U.K.
The Church of God successively received awards and letters of appreciation from mayors and councilors in all metropolitan boroughs of Greater Manchester: Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan, and Oldham.

Presidential Awards from Three Korean Governments
Presidential Group Citation, Medal of Merit, Presidential Citation
The Church’s contribution to the development and unity of Korea has been recognized by the Korean Government with the Presidential Group Citation, the highest honor for a group, as well as the Medal of Merit, and the Presidential Citation. This is the result of years of carrying out multiple volunteer services that range from environmental protection to supporting community events, disaster relief and recovery efforts for victims of typhoon, flood, and oil spills, cleanup campaigns, and even free meal service for the victims of the Sewol ferry tragedy.



Korean Presidential Group Citation
The most honorable award for a group
The award is given to a group that has provided beneficial services in a certain field for over five years. It is very unique for a religious group to receive the award. The Church volunteers have devoted themselves to helping victims of typhoons and floods, free meal services for victims of the Sewol ferry tragedy, oil spills recovery efforts, and beach cleanups. Additionally, for their contribution for aiding in the protection of marine life and programs for the prevention of negligent accidents, the Church of God was awarded with this honor.

Honored with the Legislative Merit Medal 2022
The highest honor of the National Congress of Brazil,
nominated by the Chamber of Deputies and party leaders
The Brazilian Federal Chamber awarded the Legislative Merit Medal, the most prestigious award of the National Congress, to the Church of God in recognition of its extensive and exemplary volunteer activities such as environmental protection, health and welfare, educational support, and disaster relief, as well as its continued devotion and contribution to social and national security and solidarity.

The Legislative Merit Medal
The medal is awarded by the Chamber of Deputies, after a rigorous verification process, to individuals, institutions or organizations that have exerted positive influence on the country and the legislative branch and have rendered services worthy of praise from the Brazilian people.

Honored with Congressional Medal of Honor of Peru
Awarded the Medal of Honor of the Congress of the Republic of Peru, ‘Comendador’
The Peruvian Congress awarded the Church of God the “Medal of Honor of the Congress of the Republic of Peru” (Medalla de Honor del Congreso de la República del Perú) in the “Comendador” grade, the highest honor for organizations, among the five tiers of the Peruvian Congress Medals.
It was awarded in recognition of the Church of God’s contributions to the harmony and development of the nation and its communities through tireless volunteer efforts inspired by a mother’s heart, including disaster relief, blood drives, environmental cleanups, and support for underprivileged groups.

The Highest Organization Award for Contributions to National Development
Medal of Honor of the Congress of the Republic of Peru
In celebration of its 60th anniversary, the Church of God was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Peruvian Congress for its contributions to national development. Over the past 25 years, the Church has carried out more than 1,350 volunteer activities across Peru, including disaster relief and environmental protection initiatives. This is an extraordinary achievement, as it marks the first time a religious organization has been honored with this prestigious award.
