Dedication Services Held for the Manaus and Brasília Churches in Brazil
Dedication services were held consecutively in Brazil, the largest country in South America, on April 18 and 21. The services were held for the Church of God in Manaus, Amazonas State, and the Church of God in Brasília, where Brazil’s capital is located. Held in conjunction with the Sabbath morning worship and the Third Day worship, respectively, the dedication services took place amid the congratulations and warm welcome of members, citizens, and local leaders. ASEZ and ASEZ WAO Members From the Gyeonggi Southeast Region Clean the Area Around the Namhan River in Yeoju
On April 19, about 200 members of ASEZ, the World Mission Society Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, and ASEZ WAO, the World Mission Society Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group, from the Gyeonggi Southeast Region carried out a cleanup around the Namhan River in Yeoju. Originating in Taebaek, Gangwon Province, the Namhan River flows through Korea’s central inland region and plays an important role in the Han River watershed, which empties into the Yellow Sea. The river also forms a complex ecosystem where riverside wetlands, sandbars, and tributaries coexist. ASEZ Green Concert Held for a Plastic Pollution-Free India
ASEZ members in the Hyderabad region of India took the lead in raising awareness about the seriousness of plastic pollution and its impact on climate change. From February 23 to March 1, the ASEZ Green Concert for a Plastic-Free India was held across various parts of Hyderabad, Telangana. Churches in Gyeongnam, Honam, and Gyeonggi Provinces Carry Out Flood Emergency Relief
Following an extended dry monsoon period and persistent drought, sudden heavy rains swept across various parts of South Korea from July 16 to 20. During this period, Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province recorded 632 millimeters of rainfall, leading to a rapid rise in river levels. The swollen rivers overflowed, flooding roads and homes. Landslides also occurred, causing significant damage to residential and commercial properties and resulting in casualties. Dedication Service of Namyang Church in Hwaseong
On March 11, about a month before the Passover, the dedication service of Namyang Church in Hwaseong was held alongside the Third Day worship. Located in Namyang-eup, home to the Hwasung Special City Hall, the church stands in a key area in the western part of Hwasung—a city even larger in area than Seoul. Support for Wildfire Victims and First Responders in Los Angeles County, U.S.
As the new year began, devastating wildfires broke out across Los Angeles County, California, bringing tragedy and hardship to many communities. On January 7, three separate wildfires erupted in areas including Pacific Palisades and Sylmar, driven by strong winds that intensified the blaze. The fires burned for more than three weeks, destroying over 18,000 buildings and displacing nearly 200,000 people.
