Preparing for the Eternal World

The Bible says, “As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field” (Ps 103:15). This shows how short and vain human life is. I know that each of us has a soul and that there is the spiritual world, but I can in no way imagine what it will be like. Is there any way I can imagine even a little bit of the spiritual world?

Look Upon the Spiritual World

We live as pilgrims on earth, longing for the heavenly home. Being clothed in flesh in this visible and finite world, our hearts become easily absorbed in outward things, so that we cannot think of the spiritual world. When we indulge in physical things, we can not understand God's providence; we can't grow in faith, and even the faith we have will gradually cool down.
