The Love of the Passover, the Love of Life

Not everybody can donate blood just because they want to. It requires careful consideration of factors such as age, weight, blood pressure, recent trip/travel abroad, illness, and medical records. You should also be in good condition on the day of donation. The brothers and sisters of the Seosan Church showed a commitment to participating in blood donation and started taking good care of their health as soon as they heard that the “Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life through the Love of the Passover” was going to be held in Gongju.
Over 580 brothers and sisters of Zion, along with some citizens who came to join the good event, gathered together in the Church of God, Gongju. All the seats in the waiting area were taken very soon. There were so many people waiting in line that the staff passed out numbered tickets to them in order to help keep order.
It was impressive to see how many people gathered together, but the most impressive thing was the attitude of the participants. Those who successfully donated blood rejoiced over the fact that their donated blood could save the lives of three people, and those who were not able to give blood applauded the donors, complimenting and encouraging them a lot. Seeing how happy the brothers and sisters were, regardless of whether or not they were able to donate blood, I thought it was thanks to the love of the Passover.
God has established the Passover of the new covenant through His sacrifice—the shedding of His blood on the cross—to save our souls. He has given eternal life to whoever wishes, by letting them come and freely partake of the Passover bread and wine representing His flesh and blood. The eyes of the brothers and sisters seem to tell the deep love of God, after they participated in the blood drive, regarding each person’s life as precious. I hope that God’s great love will reach more people.
