The Reason for Giving Me the Mission to Teach

It was the day when I went out to preach with my wife. When we told a lady passing by that we wanted to tell her about God the Mother who is testified in the Bible, she didn’t want to listen. When we asked her again, saying, “This message is very important,” then she stopped walking.

As soon as I opened the Bible, her eyes were opened wide. Seeing the Spirit and the Bride who give the water of life in the book of Revelation, she asked us, “Who is the Bride who gives us the water of life?” before we explained. When we told her that the Bride is Heavenly Jerusalem, she asked us back, “Then who is Heavenly Jerusalem?” before I asked her. In the conversation, the lady constantly asked questions before me and sometimes got the right answer even before I told her. She was surprised while listening to the words, and so were we at her reaction. We came to know the reason later.

A few years ago, she heard the truth but she just let go of it because she was not touched by the word at that time. After a long time, she had a chance to hear the word for the second time, and it was also the same. When she saw an Asian couple this time, she thought, ‘Ah, here they come again.’ So she decided to refuse, but our eyes looked so earnest that she couldn’t do that. Without knowing why, she could understand the word perfectly this time, and was surprised that the word, “Heavenly Mother,” lingered in her mind. She wanted to know more about the Bible. From the following day, she studied the Bible every day.

Among the people whom we’ve met so far while preaching the gospel, there is no one who loves God and His words more than she does. After studying about the soul, she was happy to know that she was an angel, and shed tears at the fact that she had committed grievous sins against God in heaven. One day, we were studying about Jesus who would come a second time to Zion and restore the right faith for His people to be saved. She burst into tears with sorrow. When she calmed down, I gingerly asked what made her cry.

“Until now, I’ve believed that I was following God’s will and accompanying Him. I was sure of my salvation. But I’ve realized that I believed in God as I pleased and that I was far away from Him. I’m so sorry to God for my faith that is not worthy of salvation.”

Before long, she received a new life. After baptism, she buried her face in the towel and did not move for a long time. This time, it was the tears of gratitude.

It turned out that she heard slanderous remarks on the truth from the first day she met us. However, she did not waver but rather thought she had to figure out the truth. She is truly a child of God.

After meeting the sister, I realized why God gave us the mission to teach. Although I received the blessing that nothing can be compared with in my life, I often forgot the value. I think God sent me a person who takes the truth as precious in order to enlighten me who don’t know the value even though having a precious treasure. Engraving on my heart once again how blessed I am, I will be always joyful and thankful in all circumstances.
