Davao Church and Five Other Churches in the Philippines Join Together for the 1,486th Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life Through the Love of the Passover

On June 30, about 440 church members and local citizens from six churches across Mindanao Island, the Philippines — including Davao, General Santos, and Digos — gathered at Gaisano Grand Citygate Mall in Davao City. They came together to hold the 1,486th Worldwide Blood Drive to Give Life Through the Love of the Passover, in celebration of World Blood Donor Day (June 14). Supported by the Davao City Chapter of the Philippine Red Cross, the event lasted about seven hours, during which 128 participants donated a total of 57,600 milliliters of blood. Francesclaire Calub, a member from General Santos who took part in the blood drive, said, “I once received a blood transfusion, so participating in this event felt only natural. I’m deeply moved that someone who once received help can now help others.”
