On May 5, around 50 members, including members of ASEZ, the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, from Caraga State University in the Philippines, participated in the ASEZ Blue Carbon (ABC) Movement to protect the marine ecosystem in Masao, Butuan. The members cleaned the beach where palm trees were planted and nearby residential areas, praying for the preservation of the marine ecosystem.
Neilda G. Ebron, Conservation and Development Division Chief at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Caraga Region 13, presented a certificate of recognition to the Church of God and ASEZ for their constant efforts in preserving marine ecosystems.
