The Mother’s Forest project is an initiative by World Mission Society Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group [ASEZ WAO] to plant trees, aiming to mitigate greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and address climate change.
On December 10, 115 members from the ASEZ WAO Chapter in San Juan, Puerto Rico, set out to plant trees at Puerto Nuevo Playa de Vega Baja Beach.
Before planting trees, they cleaned up the beach by collecting up plastic waste and removing rotten branches.
They then carefully planted 100 saplings, including coconut palm trees provided by the Vega Baja City Hall, on the beach, hoping they would thrive and contribute to the growth of a healthy forest.
