On June 15, the Church of God in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, carried out the Erasing Plastic Footprints campaign along the beach near Fuerte San Gil. About 220 people—including church members from Santo Domingo and nearby regions such as Santiago and Punta Cana, as well as government officials—took part in the event. With support from the Ministry of Environment, which provided the necessary equipment, volunteers spent about two hours collecting plastic waste such as discarded PET bottles, plastic bags, and bottle caps that had been carelessly thrown away.
