East Gangbuk Church Region Carries Out Cleanup Along Jungnang Stream in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul

On June 23, about 200 members of the East Gangbuk Church Region gathered at Jungnangcheon No. 3 Sports Park in Hwikyung 2-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, Korea, to carry out the “Erasing Plastic Footprints” campaign. Members from Dongdaemun-gu, Jungnang-gu, and Gwangjin-gu joined the effort, cleaning a three-kilometer section along the riverside of Jungnang Stream around Gyeomjae Bridge and Jangpyeong Bridge. In total, they collected approximately 270 kilograms (595 lbs) of trash, including 35 kilograms (77 lbs) of plastic waste.
