Hoping for warm and joyous celebrations among neighbors, the Church of God shared love with their neighbors. From January 31 to February 7, ahead of the Lunar New Year, members from the Church of God nationwide visited more than 230 local administrative welfare centers, town offices, and other governmental facilities to donate 5,000 sets of groceries and necessities: tuna, ham, cooking oil, soy sauce detergent, shampoo, toothbrushes, soap, etc. Each box bore the message, “Wishing you a warm Lunar New Year,” and was delivered to elderly individuals living alone, single-parent families, multicultural families, and households with grandchildren being raised by their grandparents.
Local government officials expressed their gratitude to the members for their generosity. Yu Hoe-geun, the Head of Administrative Welfare Center in Byeollae-dong, Namyangju, expressed gratitude on behalf of the residents, saying, “We thank the Church of God for warming the world on cold winter days.” He emphasized that the items donated during the difficult season, including the cold wave, provide significant support to the community. Kang Mi-hyang, Head of Ansimsa 2-dong in Daegu, expressed appreciation, saying, “I’m thankful for the warmhearted donations extended every year, which allow neighbors to have a good holiday season.”
The members said, “We prepared the gifts with the heartfelt care of a mother who takes care of her family. We hope that our neighbors will gain new strength and courage and have a happy holiday season.” With one heart, the members cheered for the households that received the items, wishing them to be filled with laughter, happiness, and joy.
