Beholding the Vision of the Gospel in Europe

From the very first online meeting to prepare for the mission until the moment we completed the work and returned home, every step of the Vienna mission journey became a time when the vision of the gospel in Europe was deeply engraved upon my heart.

On the third day after arriving in Vienna, Austria, I was in the midst of preaching the truth. Then suddenly tears welled up in my eyes, and I struggled to hold them back. My legs were swollen, my body weary, and my mind burdened by pressure—but above all, my heart was filled with sorrow toward Heavenly Father. After only a few days of missionary work, I already felt so exhausted; then I realized how unimaginable the weariness must have been for Father, who preached the gospel tirelessly for decades. I had never once cried while watching videos about Father’s sacrifice, but only after coming all the way to distant Europe did I truly feel that sacrifice in my heart.

When I came to understand God’s sacrifice, Europe no longer seemed far or foreign—it appeared as a land of opportunity, where the fire of the gospel could be kindled anew. Here, I could experience the early gospel that Father Himself had pioneered and follow in His footsteps. Europe is truly a place of blessing—a land where churches are being built to deliver the water of life to a spiritual wasteland, and where, in time, great gospel workers will arise as pastors who shepherd God’s flock.

Wherever we went in Austria, people listened attentively when we shared the words of the Bible, and the universities were no exception. Among them, the University of Vienna stood out. It is the oldest university in the German-speaking world and has produced countless world-renowned artists, philosophers, and scientists. Among the many brilliant minds there, God allowed us to meet one heavenly family member.

This brother attended our Bible seminar and Korean culture event and received the blessing of a new life. At first, he showed little interest in the cultural activities, but once the event began, he was captivated by the game of ttakji—a traditional Korean paper-flipping game—making everyone laugh with joy. When we studied the Bible together, he listened so intently that he hardly blinked. Afterward, he shared a heartfelt impression: he said the world suddenly felt fake, like in the movie The Truman Show, and he sensed that his soul was longing for its true home—heaven. Although he is a student at one of the world’s most prestigious universities, admired by many, he had lived with an emptiness that nothing could fill. I pray that his hope for heaven may grow day by day and that he may find true happiness in the truth.

During our stay in Austria, three people received the promise of salvation. Even after our team returned home, through the steadfast efforts of the local members, another soul was reborn as a child of God. During our stay, Bible seminars were held twice a week without fail, and many who had shown interest in the truth began coming to Zion to study more deeply. The atmosphere changed so dramatically from before our mission team’s visit that even the local members themselves were amazed. I believe this was the blessing of God, who delights in the unity of members in Korea and Austria.

Through this mission, I came to realize how great the joy is in saving even one soul. I resolved to fill my life with that joy—of finding precious members who long for God’s word like jewels. With this in mind, I set my heart on returning to Europe for my next overseas mission. I will prepare my faith and language diligently so that I may return the love I received from the European members. I hope that many brothers and sisters will go out to Europe, where there lies a great vision for the gospel, and rise up as the main characters on the final stage of prophecy.

I give sincere thanks to God Elohim, who allowed this unworthy child to behold the vision of the European mission.
