Pierre-Auguste Renoir, a French artist in the impressionist style, did not put down the painting brush in his hand even on the day when his fingers were in extreme pain. His friend saw him barely painting with his sore fingers and asked,
“Do you have any reason for painting even in the pain?”
Renoir replied with a smile,
“The pain passes, but the beauty remains.”
