One of my acquaintances helped me search for a job. I liked my new job because I already knew someone there and colleagues seemed nice.
Since I was there to work, I thought I might as well do my best, and paid attention to even the things I didn’t have to. But strangely enough, I felt happier than tired though the work was not easy. While working until late at night, my eyes hurt and I felt tired, but I was excited while cleaning and was just happy even when someone said something not so pleasant to hear.
Soon after, one of our Zion members started working here as well, and the atmosphere of my workplace became much brighter. I guess the customers too felt the good mood; many of them praised us, saying, “The employees are kind,” “Did you hire them for their personalities?” and so on. Our female boss told us that our male boss had mentioned to her that we were always smiling and so bright and that he thought it might be the power of faith. For your information, our male boss didn’t like churches at all.
There was another amazing thing. Our male boss encouraged our female boss to go to our church with us. She told us that he only talked about us and our Church of God when they were on leave.
A shiver went down my spine when the female boss told us that. It wasn’t like I started working with determination to display God’s glory through good deeds. Thanks to the Teachings of Mother I had learned, my words and deeds must have radiated the power of faith.
Knowing that people around us had opened their minds, I put into action something I hadn’t even planned on. It was preaching the words of the Bible to the female boss and asked her to receive the gift of salvation from God. Then she said as if she had been waiting for me to ask her that, “Okay. I will go with you to your church today.”
Just like a scene of a prophecy from the Bible, the female boss received the promise of salvation at that hour of that night. Then the whole journey until that day went through my mind like a flash. I am truly thankful to God for sending us, gospel workers, to the hectic workplace where it is hard to hear the news of salvation so that a soul may live.
All was God’s providence and plan. God gave His children who are living in this world the Teachings of Mother to remove the seed of complaints and keep a good heart. Through that, God blessed us to display His glory and receive blessings in the end.
I think my work life is going to be even happier because we have more heavenly family members now. I pray that this touching event will happen to everybody here.
