On May 29, the World Mission Society Church of God University Student Volunteer Group [ASEZ] members in Puebla, Mexico, held the Animo (Cheer Up) Campaign at the Non-Commissioned Officer [NCO] Academy. The Animo Campaign is the Spanish name for ASEZ Cheer Up Campaign. This campaign aims to cheer on those who work faithfully for society and citizens, such as police officers and firefighters. It began by cheering on the medical staff who were making efforts on the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic.

ASEZ members in the Puebla region held a concert at the NCO Academy to encourage the non-commissioned cadets who were completing their education to become soldiers who would protect public safety and national security. About 1,200 people attended the event, including Academy Principal Edilberto Jasso Godoy and cadets who were about to graduate.

At 7 p.m., the host introduced the purpose of the Animo Campaign and began the event. After the children members of the Church of God in Puebla read a letter of consolation to the soldiers, various performances were performed by the members. The quartet sang When You Believe, an OST from the animated film The Prince of Egypt, and then sang Beautiful Country, a Korean fusion song, in Korean language. Moreover, a powerful Taekwondo Poomsae demonstration, a flag performance, and a fan dance performance received a big round of applause.

The event ended with enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Principal Edilberto Jasso Godoy said, “Everything was perfect. All the cadets were greatly moved, and I especially liked the Taekwondo and the fan dance.” He also complimented the members, saying, “The various activities of ASEZ are creating a more beautiful world by having a good influence on the world.”

The members said they were happy to participate in this meaningful event, and hoped that the cadets who attended the event would gain much strength. Oswaldo Jafet Trinidad Jimenez, an ASEZ member, said, “We didn’t expect this event, which was performed as part of Animo Campaign to become this big.” He said he would continue to join the Campaign to deliver strength and courage to many people.
