ASEZ WAO Receives The Green Apple Awards Bronze, 2023
Honored with The Green Apple Awards for the Four Consecutive Years Through Extensive and Consistent Activities

On November 20, the World Mission Society Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group [ASEZ WAO] received the bronze award for Environmental Best Practice at The Green Apple Environment Awards 2023 held at the Palace of Westminster, the meeting place of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. ASEZ WAO was recognized for its efforts in protecting terrestrial ecosystems through the Green Earth Project.
Since 2017, ASEZ WAO has been carrying out cleanup in mountains, fields, villages, and cities in 32 countries, including Korea, the United States, Peru, Germany, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Australia. As of April 2023, more than 35,000 participants have joined, collecting over 126,000 tonnes of terrestrial waste.
At the awards ceremony, Roger Wolens, the Founder and CEO of The Green Organisation, stated, “You are constantly setting new directions every year. It is our privilege to honor ASEZ WAO for your activities and present this award. We look forward to your continued efforts.” Lucy Oliver (London, UK) who attended the awards ceremony, said, “As a member of ASEZ WAO contributing positively to the environment, I feel incredibly honored. Through ASEZ WAO activities, I have experienced great joy and fulfillment.”
The Green Apple Awards, presented by The Green Organisation, a non-profit environmental group, is an authoritative global environmental awards. The Green Apple Awards, bestowed by The Green Organisation, identifies outstanding initiatives with exceptional environmental performance and innovation from governments, institutions, and other entities worldwide. Expert judges evaluate criteria such as environmental and economic benefits, social impact, innovation, and development plans to select the winners.
With this recent award, ASEZ WAO has achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Green Apple Award consecutively for four years, from 2020 to 2023. Indeed, ASEZ WAO has also been honored with the Green World Award and the prestigious appointment as Green World Ambassadors through projects such as “Mother’s Forest” (Worldwide Tree Planting) and “Green Workplace” (Eco-friendly Initiatives in Workplaces) conducted globally.
The footsteps of ASEZ WAO, exerting positive influence on the international community through consistent activities, will continue into 2024.
