The World Where Everything Is Accomplished through Faith

The Bible records many miracles, which do not match what we have felt and experienced. The parting of the Red Sea and the restoration of sight to the blind cannot easily be understood based on human knowledge. So, some people say they cannot believe God’s work described in the Bible.

However, even what seems dream-like and impossible to us is something very easy to do for God who created the whole universe. God boosts our faith, saying repeatedly in the Bible, “According to your faith will it be done to you.”

The world God created goes on according to God’s word even at this moment. When we understand that the word of God Almighty accomplishes everything, something miraculous can happen to us as well.

The world made by God’s word

Actually, a miracle is not far away. Our planet earth itself is a miracle.

Suppose that a car speeds along at 200 kilometers per hour (124 mph). Just the thought of it makes us feel dizzy. An aircraft, which connects the global village into a one-day life zone, is much faster than a car; it flies at a speed of approximately 1,000㎞ per hour (621 mph). However, the earth revolves around the sun at a tremendous speed of more than 100,000㎞ per hour (62,137 mph), without any fuel. This giant spacecraft moves at such lightning speed, carrying over seven billion people. However, we don’t feel its speed at all, and yet we all live comfortably. Isn’t it a miracle?

Who created this wonderful earth? It is the work of God’s own hands.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth . . . And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. Ge 1:1–5

God the Almighty made all things by His word in the beginning. When God said, “Let there be light,” there was light. All things in the universe came into being out of nothing, responding to each and every word of God.

The earth we live in is a world that exists by God’s word. The fact still remains that the earth responds to God’s word. God has designed the system of the whole universe, and has made everything on the earth move according to His word. He has also made all things possible for those who believe His word and move forward. That’s why God’s people, who obey God’s commandments with absolute faith in God, can fully accomplish the gospel work prophesied in the Bible.

“According to your faith will it be done to you”

Nothing on this earth is impossible if we believe God’s word. Jesus Himself taught us this fact 2,000 years ago.

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”; and their sight was restored . . . Mt 9:27–31

The two blind men came to Jesus, God who created the whole universe, and asked Him to heal them with a firm faith in Him. Jesus said to them, “According to your faith will it be done to you.” Then their faith and the words of Jesus worked together, and their sight was restored so they could see.

A miracle occurs when God’s word and our faith in it work together. It is the same with the work of preaching the gospel to all people around the world. We must go forward with the belief that everything is possible if we just do according to God’s word. However, if there is no corresponding action to our faith in God’s word yet, we need to reflect on ourselves to see if we fully believe God’s word.

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Mk 9:23

God has created this earth as a place of miracles where whoever believes in God’s word and puts it into practice can achieve everything. However, this miracle system cannot work if we have negative thoughts that hinder our faith, such as: ‘I can’t do it,’ and, ‘That’s impossible.’

If we do not think of God in our life of faith, hardship always accompanies us no matter what we do. We always need to think about who is leading the gospel work and remember that when we do everything with faith in God, our surrounding circumstances and the world can change.

God’s command to us

When the president of the Republic of Korea or the United States gives an order, the workers at the Blue House or the White House obey and carry out that order. The president does not give the order directly to the people.

Then, who will obey and carry out God’s command to preach the gospel to all seven billion people?

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mt 28:18–20

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” This command did not only apply to the disciples who were listening to Jesus at that time, but it also applies to God’s people in this age when baptism should be done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. This command is not something that everyone can obey and carry out. Only those whom God approves are entrusted with the work of preaching the gospel (1 Th 2:3–4).

The holy command of God, who has all authority in heaven and on earth, has been given to us. When God says, “Go!” we just have to go. When God says, “Make disciples of all nations,” we just have to make disciples of them. We don’t need to add to or take away anything from God’s word. Artificial keys such as human knowledge and eloquence cannot open the door to a miracle. The best key is the faith to follow God’s word fully. If we believe God’s word and go to all nations, the door to the miracle of saving the whole world will be opened wide.

“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Mk 10:51–52

The key to the miracle of restoring sight to the blind man in the Gospel of Mark was also his absolute faith in Jesus. Faith is a driving force to move the world that God made.

Let us have the key of faith in our hearts, too. God tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations,” because there are already those who will become disciples. If our faith is weak, the fulfillment of God’s word will be delayed. When we follow God’s command with absolute faith, then the miraculous work God has prepared for us will unfold before our very eyes.

Our duty as prophetic protagonists

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations,” and He added that the gospel would be preached in the whole world.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Mt 24:14

God’s work of redemption comes to an end when the truth of the new covenant is preached in Samaria and to the ends of the earth. When the day comes, the door to the glorious kingdom of heaven will be opened before us. On that day, we will return to the world where there is no more death or sorrow or pain, but eternal life, happiness and comfort.

This can be accomplished when all God’s people preach the gospel together. In ancient Israel, when the Israelites conquered Jericho, God let them march around the city and shout altogether at the last moment, although He could have destroyed it by His word alone. When they all shouted with one voice, the walls of Jericho collapsed (Joshua 6).

This is a prophecy given to us today. We must not think, ‘Someone else will preach the gospel if I do not preach,’ but shout altogether. We are the people of prophecy who live according to God’s prophecies. God waits for all of us to follow Him, keeping in step with the prophecies.

Let us think about what role God has given each of us to accomplish the great mission of the gospel, what prophetic part we must fulfill. When we become one with faith to surely fulfill the mission God has entrusted to each of us, we will experience the same kind of miracle as the Israelites did when they all shouted toward Jericho with a great shout.

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Php 4:13

The Bible says we can do everything through God who gives us strength. God has never said to us, “You cannot do it.” ‘What will people think of me when I preach God’s word to them?’ ‘Would they listen to my preaching?’ Thinking this way and hesitating to preach is no different than failing to press the button of faith. God has told us to preach the gospel to people, whether they listen or fail to listen. Everything is possible when we believe God’s word and view things with the eyes of faith.

Accomplish the gospel of the kingdom through faith

God’s work of creation shows that the heavens and the earth and all things in them were created by the word of God. The great God said that the gospel of the kingdom would certainly be preached throughout the world. The Bible says that the good news of salvation will spread to the whole earth and the words to the ends of the world (Ro 10:18). This is also predetermined by God. The reason this prophecy does not fully work yet is because we have not pressed the button of faith yet.

This year we have entered another time dimension—the beginning of a new century, 100 years after Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong came to this earth. So, we should renew our minds to live holy and godly lives as the fully born-again people of heaven.

Let us make a commitment to preach the gospel to whomever we meet and put it into action every day, forcing our way into the kingdom of heaven. If we each preach to one person a day, we can tell the good news of salvation to 365 people for a year. If each one of us preaches to three people per day, we can preach to about 1,000 people for a year. If all our church members believe God’s word and put it into practice diligently, the gospel can be preached to a billion people and to all seven billion people soon. Let us all do our best to save souls, entrusting the results to God.

God has made this world a place where everything is accomplished through faith. No matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, we should do everything by believing God’s promises for us, instead of just focusing on the things right in front of us.

I hope that something great enough to surprise the world through faith will occur this year. Brothers and sisters in Zion! Let us speed up the coming of the eternal kingdom of heaven by participating joyfully in fulfilling the prophecy that the gospel will be preached to the whole world.
