You Will Receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1-41

When the day of Pentecost came, Jesus’ disciples were all together in one place. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.
When the Jews who came from every nation of the world to keep the feast heard the disciples speaking in their own languages, they were bewildered. Some made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”
Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:
“Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. This happened because God poured out the Holy Spirit upon them, just as He had spoken through the prophet Joel. Jesus was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. You, with the help of the Gentiles, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross. But God raised Him from the dead, and we are all witnesses of the fact. This Jesus whom you crucified is our Savior and Christ.”
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles:
“Brothers, what shall we do?”
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and be saved.”
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
The apostles clearly testified to the words of truth and boldly preached that Jesus is the Christ. When we look at every aspect of them, we can see that they were not such well-learned or reputed people. Despite that, they were so amazingly wise and bold. It was because they were clothed with God’s power by wholeheartedly devoting themselves to prayer.
The power of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain in this age is seven times greater than that of the Holy Spirit of the former rain in the time of the early Church (Isa 30:26). With the power of the Holy Spirit, we are to fulfill the gospel as the prophetic protagonists—as the witnesses of Elohim who will save this generation, by proclaiming Them to all nations of the world.
Let us all devote ourselves to prayer for the great power of the Holy Spirit like a waterfall, which Father has promised us. Nothing is impossible if the Holy Spirit comes upon us.
