Dedication Service of the Churches in Sejong, Yuseong, Deokyang, and Samsong, Korea
The hall of faith to deliver hope and share blessings
South Korea
Despite a long period of social distancing due to COVID-19, the number of members increased steadily throughout the world. In Korea, the dedication ceremonies of four churches were held in May. The Sejong and Yuseong Churches held dedication services in the afternoon and evening (Third Day worship) each on May 17; and the Deokyang and Samsong Churches held the dedication services together with the Sabbath afternoon and evening worships on May 21. At the long-awaited news of dedication, the members welcomed it with joy. The congratulatory messages from nearby churches and prominent people from diverse fields were lined up.
Mother prayed that tens of thousands of blessings would be bestowed upon the members who had worked hard to build a new temple and who instilled hope for salvation in their families and neighbors, overcoming the painful time of the COVID-19 pandemic with firm faith. She also expressed her gladness to the members whom She had not met for a long time and said, “Although hardships happen, as long as we walk with God, our future is bright. Therefore, let’s cheer up and go toward heaven by letting others know how blessed it is to live a life with the hope for heaven.”

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol wished every church that opened its new temple to lead many souls to salvation and become a gospel organization that produces gospel workers abundantly. He also said, “All blessings begin from the obedience to the word of God. We should believe that God accomplishes the amazing work of salvation through those who live according to God’s word. Let’s build a blessed home, church, and community by preaching the gospel to all nations according to the word of God” (Dt 28:1–6, 15–19; 8:1-6; 1 Ti 6:3–8; Mt 28:18–20).
Amidst the news about the construction of new temples nationwide, dedication ceremonies are scheduled for more than 40 places such as Incheon, Suwon, Seongnam, Siheung, Taean, Asan, Jeonju, Yeosu, Yeongdeok, Wonju, and Hongcheon. In February, the Churches in Haeundae, Ulsan, Geoje, and Tongyeong, which were newly renovated, had a dedication service.
Sejong Church
Sejong Special Self-Governing Province is a multifunctional administrative city created by relocating major government agencies to promote balanced regional development. Around the Sejong Church located in Goundong, northwest of the Sejong Government Complex, there are apartments and a park, so it is good to interact with neighbors. The members said, “In Sejong City, which has been reborn as the administrative capital of Korea, there are not only the citizens who have recently emigrated along with their workplaces but also many people who visit for business or many other reasons. We will do our best to make the Church of God in Sejong a core organization that delivers God’s love and hope for heaven to all of them.”

Yuseong Church
The Yuseong Church, which has four stories above the ground and one floor below the ground, was established in the Doan New Town, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon-si. The exterior is finished with bluish glass windows on the bright exterior walls, which brightens up the surrounding atmosphere. In the Gapcheon Stream, which flows in front of the Church, the creation of the Ecological Lake Park, which is a long-awaited project of the city of Daejeon, begins, and it is expected that citizens will pass by this area a lot more often after it is completed.
The members here diligently practice the teachings of the Bible by volunteering to remove snow in winter, clean the streets, clean the senior citizen centers, and help farms harvesting cabbages during the busy season.

Deokyang Church
Deogyang-gu in Goyang-si is showing rapid growth by developing housing sites in various places such as Haengsin District and Samsong District. The Deokyang Church, which was newly built in Haengsin District 2, is close to the government office complex, and is well connected with Gyeongui-Jungang Subway Line, Jayu-ro, and Gangbyeonbuk-ro, so it is convenient for transportation.
The members enjoyed the joy of dedication three years after the temple was built, saying, “We want to make a warm church and a bright city by diligently preaching God’s love to our neighbors.”

Samsong Church
The Samsong Church in Goyang-si has been established in Samsong District where residential land development is active. So it is already serving as a resting place for those who visit the Church with the words of the water of life and the love of God, and also with the beautiful scenery of Mt. Bukhansan. As rural housing complexes continue to be built around them, the population is steadily increasing. The members are busy delivering the news of salvation and Mother’s love, cheering for the happy future of their neighbors who have established a new home in this area.
