Dedication Service for the Churches in Gwonseon and Seryu, Suwon
Celebrating the Dedication of the Churches Together With Overseas Members, Remembering the Duty of the Saints and the Church
Korea
On October 19, amidst the Preaching Week of the Festival of Tabernacles, the dedication worship services for the Churches of God in Gwonseon and Seryu, Suwon, were held. On this Sabbath day, blessed with the abundant grace of the Holy Spirit, the members of both churches rejoiced in the special occasion of their dedication services, with their faces beaming with smiles. The 80th Overseas Visiting Group was also present, sharing in the joy and excitement, congratulating the members of the two churches, who were ready to harvest spiritual wheat on this ripe autumn day.
Heavenly Mother prayed that the newly renovated Gwonseon and Seryu Churches in Suwon would become spiritual storehouses filled with abundant fruits of the gospel, where countless souls would receive salvation, bringing joy to God. Recognizing the efforts and devotion of the members who poured their prayers and sincerity into the completion of the beautiful sanctuaries, Mother encouraged the churches to grow to please God by cooperating with neighboring churches.

During two worship services, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol awakened the members to their divine mission and the role of the church. At the Gwonseon Church, he preached, “God has promised, ‘I will help you,’ so let us, like Joshua and Caleb, have absolute faith in God and share the gospel to save countless souls” (Jos 14:6–12; 18:1–3; Isa 41:10–13). And at the Seryu Church, he emphasized, “It is the responsibility of those who have first received the truth to guide wandering souls, unaware of the meaning of life, to the true and righteous path of salvation revealed by God. Let us fulfill the mission entrusted to us since the church has been established by God’s will to save souls” (Isa 40:9–11; Ps 23:1–6; Ecc 12:13; Ac 16:25–31; Rev 22:17).
Before and after the services, Suwon region members and the overseas members exchanged warm greetings and reaffirmed their resolve to work together to complete the mission of preaching to 8 billion people. Brother Salvador Navarro from the Bronx, NY, U.S., said, “While spending time with Korean brothers and sisters full of heartwarming love, I felt that if more Zions were established in the United States, society would be warmer and people would be able to build good character.”
