Birds that belong to the crow family, including azure-winged magpies, nightingales, and magpies are the smartest of all bird species. In fact, some magpies or crows can even perceive the concept of volume as well as the flow of time, and they can recognize themselves through reflected images in a mirror; it is also known that they spend leisure time, enjoy their own culture, and have a language of their own. Particularly, New Caledonian crows are able to grab food out from bottles by bending wires and using them. Even chimpanzees that are known to be the smartest of all wild animals aren’t able to make a hook as they do.

Max Planck Institute in Germany analyzed the correlation between the duration of parenting babies and their cognitive abilities, using data from 127 bird species of the crow family. They found out the duration of parenting babies had a profound influence on the birds’ cognitive abilities. When birds of the crow family are born, they stay in the nest for about 29 days on average, which is 16 days longer than that of other birds. Their period of learning from their parents even after they leave the nest was about four years at its maximum; this is ten times longer than that of other birds.

Man is the lord of creation, but it is widely known that good parenting with warmth also has a great influence on nurturing stable emotional condition of their babies. It is the same with us spiritually. God always takes care of Their children. They help Their children become aware of the Kingdom of Heaven, realize the principles of the angelic world, and have faith worthy of entering the Kingdom of Heaven. God’s great care for us is the key to helping us grow as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.
