It’s been a year since I came to India for the gospel mission. Sometimes, I struggle with the language barrier or feel disheartened when things don’t turn out well. Then, I remind myself of these verses.
“Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” “But Lord,” Gideon asked, “how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” The LORD answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together” Jdg 6:14–16
Gideon was the least in his family, and his clan was the weakest in Manasseh, and yet God chose him as the judge to save Israel from all the Midianites; God promised to be with Gideon and encouraged him to do His will.
I, too, am weak and lacking in many ways, but I firmly believe in God’s promise, “I will be with you.” The path I take may not be smooth, but I will overcome all the difficulties by solely relying on God.
