Chlorine [Cl] is a very toxic gas. If chlorine [Cl] and sodium [Na] combine, they become salt [NaCl], which is indispensable for our life.
The process of forming water is similar. When hydrogen [H], that is flammable, is combined with oxygen [O], water [H₂O] is formed, which is also essential for life.
The principle that two different substances combine and become a useful element is reflected in our life of faith as well. If alone, it is difficult to achieve the goal of our faith, have a joyful religious life, and receive the blessings of heaven. This is because it is difficult to throw away our sinful nature while walking the path of faith alone. God has prepared rewards for the children who work together in unity.
Two is better than one, because they have a good return for their work. Ecc 4:9
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. Ps 133:1–3
When brothers and sisters gather together in Zion, something amazing and valuable is created–eternal life, which we all hope for.
