Peter Buckley was an English professional boxer. He had a total of 299 fights for 19 years, 31 wins, 12 draws, and 256 losses. It’s the world’s worst record. Whenever he stepped into the ring, he lost but he didn’t reject the offer. He fought two or three times a month, and before the bruise and fatigue from the previous contest disappeared he had the next fight.
In 2008, he got his 300th fight in Birmingham, his hometown, before he retired. Many people paid attention to the result of his last fight. The result was victory! He had been called forever a loser, but he ended his last fight with victory and left the ring with smile.
As for the reason he had constant fights despite repeated defeats, he said that boxing changed his life and stopped him from being in trouble with the police. Although his life has not been a big success as a boxer, he will never be called a loser as he fought hard for the change of his life. If he had not challenged with fear for defeats, he would not have gotten any change.
