Opening Hearts With a Heartfelt Snack

I have been working at a freight transportation company with about 70 employees for five years. While I don’t face major difficulties in my work, I’ve always pondered how I could reveal the glory of God in the workplace.

Then, I had the opportunity to carry out a snack-sharing activity with the members of ASEZ WAO visiting from Korea. It felt as though God was providing a way to share His love at work.

At the time, more than half of our department was working remotely, so there weren’t many people to give snacks to. I delivered one to the company president. After reviewing the ASEZ WAO brochure, he responded positively to the group’s activities. The next day, I introduced ASEZ WAO’s global efforts to him through a video, and he readily signed a letter of support. In Germany, a signature carries the same legal weight as an official seal, so the fact that he gave his support willingly was truly remarkable.

Afterward, the president walked around the company with the ASEZ WAO members, personally showing them around. Since I’m the only Korean employee at the company and the members were wearing brightly colored volunteer vests, we naturally drew the attention of many employees. This helped us indirectly introduce ASEZ WAO to them. Moreover, the president said that if we let the company know about future environmental cleanup activities, he and the staff would gladly join.

Later, our team leader, who had been working remotely, heard about the visit and asked who the guests were. I proudly shared that ASEZ WAO is the Church of God’s volunteer organization and that they had received numerous international awards for their sincere activities.

The love and sincerity contained in a small snack became the key to opening the president’s heart, and it also planted a seed to reveal God’s glory to the employees. Going forward, I will continue to practice God’s love through good deeds in the workplace, striving to be a workplace prophet who brings glory to God and delivers hope.
