Treasure

Everyone has their own personal treasure. To some, their hard-earned wealth is a treasure, to some their authority or honor which they have acquired after a great deal of effort is a treasure, and to others their children who are the apple of their eye are a treasure that cannot be exchanged for anything in the world.

However, no matter how great and precious their treasure is, its value does not remain consistent. Their treasure is doomed to fade as time passes by, and there is no treasure that keeps its value forever on this earth. It may be a treasure to them during their lifetime, but it cannot be an eternal treasure.

The situation is different if they make God their treasure. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him. God also honors those who honor Him and always guards them as the apple of His eye.

We have received the unfathomable treasures from God, and are living under the protection of God Almighty who controls mankind’s life, death, fortune, and misfortune and who holds sway over the entire universe. So, is there any treasure more precious than this?

We have God as our treasure. How can we keep our most precious treasure along with worthless things in our hearts? Like the Apostle Paul who found God as his treasure and considered everything a loss even if it was to his profit, let us throw away any hatred, quarrel, arrogance and greed from our hearts, so that only Elohim—our Treasure—can live in us.
