On November 13 and 16, the 2025 New Jerusalem Day Celebration, honoring the love and grace of Heavenly Mother, was held at the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute. Ahead of New Jerusalem Day (November 20), the two-day pre-celebration event brought together about 21,000 attendees, including domestic pastoral staff, position and title holders, and the 83rd Overseas Members Visiting Group members. The event, consisting of a commemorative worship service and cultural performances by members from around the world, became a vivid scene of the fulfillment of the prophecy, “Nations will come like clouds, and like doves to their nests” (Isa 60:3–8), while also inspiring renewed passion for the completion of preaching to 8 billion people worldwide.

Heavenly Mother prayed that Her children would reveal God’s glory, practice love, and, with united hearts, proclaim the message of salvation to all humanity. She also commended the efforts of the members who have faithfully devoted themselves to spreading the gospel in their respective places, encouraging them to “take pride in having been granted the truth of life and share the hope of heaven with all nations.”

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol emphasized, “The news that God the Mother, the source of life, love, and peace, has come to this earth is the very core of the gospel.” He added, “Just as Heavenly Father said, ‘I follow Mother,’ when we practice Mother’s teachings, we are blessed in all things. Let us follow Mother’s example by practicing love inside and outside Zion and lead humanity onto the path of salvation” (Isa 60:1–4, 8, 12, 14, 20–22).

At the celebration event, the 83rd Overseas Members Visiting Group took the stage as a congratulatory delegation, presenting a rich and diverse lineup of performances celebrating New Jerusalem Day. Following a joint choir from South Korea, South Africa, and the United States, who sang harmoniously of gratitude toward Mother and the joy of salvation, a Mongolian morin khuur (traditional Mongolian string instrument) soloist performed in collaboration with Korea’s Messiah Orchestra. The majestic melodies, reminiscent of Mongolia’s vast natural landscapes and Mother’s boundless embrace, were met with enthusiastic applause. Members from across the globe, including Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States, also took turns performing, showcasing stages that reflected the traditions and cultural characteristics of their respective countries. Unique performances such as Métis Jigging, a lively Canadian folk dance known for its rhythmic footwork, and Valicha, a traditional folk dance from Peru’s Andean region accompanied by spirited panpipe music, came together to evoke a vision of a global community united by Mother’s love. Through their passionate performances, the visiting group conveyed a resolute commitment to unity around Mother and to accomplishing world evangelism through love. A specially produced video highlighting the history of salvation fulfilled by the power of God Elohim the Creator also deeply moved the audience.

The event concluded with all attendees joining together in a New Song choral performance and a flash performance. Applauding the devotion and efforts of the members, Mother expressed Her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Through Father’s sacrifices over many years and your dedication to saving souls, the gospel has spread throughout the world.” She continued, “Let us encourage and comfort one another with love as we press on toward our heavenly reward.”

Sister Kabelo Sekgotho from Johannesburg, South Africa, who participated in the congratulatory performances, shared, “Preparation was not easy, but as Mother emphasized, when we united with the performers, everything went smoothly.” She added, “When I return home, I will unite with my Zion members and faithfully walk the gospel path that Father and Mother have prepared for us.” Brother Noh Geun-ho from Seoul also reflected, “I was comforted by Mother’s words, ‘You have worked hard enduring the challenges of your workplace.’ Just as Mother always puts her children first, I want to be more attentive and caring toward those around me.”

1st “Words of Mother’s Love” Awards Ceremony Commemorating Mother’s Love and Peace Day
The two-day commemorative event was further enriched by being held in conjunction with the 1st Words of Mother’s Love Awards Ceremony. In 2024, to mark its 60th anniversary, the Church of God designated November 1, New Jerusalem Day, as Mother’s Love and Peace Day and launched the “Words of Mother’s Love That Brings Peace” campaign. The campaign aims to foster harmony and peace starting from families and churches by practicing the words of love learned from Mother, and ultimately to resolve the conflicts and discord prevalent throughout society. Members actively participated by practicing positive expressions such as gratitude, consideration, tolerance, and courtesy in their daily lives, and by sharing their experiences on the official website. As of June 2024 to October 2025, total participation reached approximately 2.2 million people across 133 countries.
At this year’s awards ceremony, 60 members from Korea and abroad were honored for setting exemplary examples and positively influencing their families, workplaces, churches, and communities through the campaign. Awards were presented to the Women’s Group on November 13, and to the Male Adult, Young Adult, and Student Groups on November 16, with a total of 34 domestic members receiving awards directly from Mother.
Award recipients unanimously shared that “using the words of love gave strength to both others and ourselves.” Deaconess Lim Hyun-sook from Goyang remarked, “I realized that the warm words exchanged with my family have become a strong support that helps us overcome trials,” pledging to continue using the words of love with her family and neighbors. Deacon Seol In-gwan from Sokcho shared, “I began greeting others with love, hoping to encourage adult male members weary from work, and I saw their faces grow brighter—giving me strength as well. I want to continue building harmony through the words of love.”
