ASEZ Members From Busan Conduct Cleanup at Cheongsapo Beach
Maintain the Beautiful Blue Ocean
On April 14, members from ASEZ, the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, in Busan area carried out the Green Campus cleanup around the Cheongsapo Beach. This activity aimed to protect marine ecosystems, aligning with Goal No. 14 of the Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs], “Life Below Water.”
Due to the large number of tourists who take the Sky Capsule train to enjoy the ocean view at Cheongsapo, a significant amount of trash accumulates in the area. About 60 members dressed in blue vests reminiscent of the sea, collected about 200 kg (440 lbs) of trash, including buoys, nets, flower pots, and plastic chairs, filling the bags provided by the Jung 2-dong Administration and Welfare Center. ASEZ will continue cleanup activities to help make the blue ocean more crystal-clear.
