On August 10, a total of 25 participants—including ASEZ (the World Mission Society Church of God University Student Volunteer Group) members from the National Institute of Transport in Tanzania, Korean members, and local citizens—carried out a plastic waste cleanup along Mabibo Road in the Ubungo area of Dar es Salaam. This activity was part of the “Zero Plastic 2040” campaign, which aims to end plastic pollution and address the climate crisis. Despite the blazing heat, the volunteers worked with bright smiles as they collected 26 kilograms (57 lbs) of plastic waste and other litter.

The volunteers also held a “Zero Plastic 2040” panel exhibition, raising environmental awareness among citizens by highlighting the seriousness of plastic pollution.
