ASEZ Completes Emergency Relief Training in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
For Our Neighbors in Crisis
On November 19, members of ASEZ, the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, in the Dominican Republic completed emergency relief training at the Independence Hall of the Ministry of Defense. Sponsored by the Civil Defense of the Dominican Republic, the training involved approximately 500 ASEZ members from Santo Domingo and five other regions, who learned various first aid techniques, including CPR, bleeding control, and wound management, from 20 professional instructors.
All members who completed the training received a certificate in disaster prevention and safety from the National School of Risk Management.
Civil Defense Director Juan Salas stated, “The world is increasingly exposed to greater threats. To overcome crises, young adults must act today, not tomorrow or in the future,” He also presented a certificate of appreciation to ASEZ for its participating in the relief training to assist those in need.
