ASEZ STAR Street Cleanup in Gonghang-dong, West Gangnam Church Region
The Green Earth I Protect With My Own Hands
On February 19, during winter break, approximately 100 members of ASEZ STAR, the Church of God Student Volunteer Group, from the Gangnam Western Church Region conducted a street cleanup in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Walking 3 kilometers (1.86 mi)], they collected trash, including debris under fallen leaves, to protect the environment. Former Seoul City Councilor Gyeong Man-seon and Gonghang-dong Village Head Kwak Jin-young joined in to support the volunteers.
Oh Jae-min (19) said, “I picked up a lot of trash today on a usually clean street. I’m happy to do something meaningful with my friends during the break.” Gangseo-gu District Councilor Jeon Cheol-gyu commended the group, stating, “I hope your efforts bring change to the world. I’m proud of the students’ admirable work.”
