On March 20, four days before the Sacred Assembly of the Passover, the Church of God held the “Passover Bible Seminar 2024” to share God’s love and blessings contained in the Passover. The seminar emphasized the importance of the New Covenant Passover, established by Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and the blessing of eternal life. It was held two times at the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. (Korean time). About 5,000 people, including church members, their families, and neighbors, attended the event.

The seminar was also live-streamed on YouTube, with around 19,000 participants watching from countries such as Germany, France, Singapore, East Timor, Japan, Hong Kong, Nepal, Malaysia, and more. The video was simultaneously broadcast with subtitles in 13 languages, including English, German, Chinese, French, Japanese, Indonesian, Nepali, and Malay.

An 18-piece chamber orchestra composed of violin, cello, flute, and other instruments began the event. They performed “When You Wish Upon a Star” from the animated movie, Pinocchio, and Erik Satie’s waltz, Je te veux, creating a romantic and lyrical atmosphere that captured the essence of spring. The choir then delivered a powerful rendition of “When You Believe,” a song from the animated movie, The Prince of Egypt, which tells the historical background of the Passover, leaving the audience deeply moved.

The theme of the seminar was “Finding the Way.” Three presenters each used art, history, and the Bible as key topics to introduce the origins and significance of the Passover, as well as the blessings it contains. They explained a variety of topics with a focus on the Passover, including Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, The Last Supper, which depicts Jesus observing the Passover with His disciples, and the history of Israel as recorded in the Bible. A virtual studio video that vividly depicted the time of the Exodus also enhanced the audience’s engagement.

The presenters emphasized the value of the Passover, highlighting God’s promise to save those who keep the Passover from disaster in any age. They concluded the seminar by expressing their hope that all attendees would keep the Passover, the truth of life, and walk together on the path of blessing.

Choi Young-ja from Seoul, who attended the seminar in person, expressed her gratitude to her daughter for inviting her, saying, “The message about wanting to go to heaven with loved ones felt touching and unique.” Anastasia Bright, who came from Liberia, said, “Through the Bible and history, I could easily understand that the path to eternal life revealed by God is through the Passover. I’ve always been searching for the purpose and direction of my life, and today I feel like I’ve found the answer,” she said with a big smile.
