Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:3–5
The reason the paralyzed man was forgiven of his sins was that Jesus was pleased with the faith of those who brought him.
While sharing the truth, I sometimes encounter people who respond sharply, unable or unwilling to understand. In such moments, I may feel tempted to give up and walk away. But then I remind myself that perhaps God will look upon the sincerity and compassion of the messenger and pour out grace on the listener.
