Today’s fragrance of Zion features a young adult sister.
Two years ago, I met this sister through her mother, whom I happened to meet on the street. Her mother had been baptized long ago, and the sister had once attended Zion with her—but over time, she drifted away from the truth.
When she finally returned to Zion with her mother after many years, I wanted to greet her first so she wouldn’t feel awkward. She smiled kindly, but I could sense a wall around her heart. Still, I continued sending warm messages and calling her whenever I could. Little by little, we grew close, and she opened up about the struggles and pain she had been carrying. Because I, too, had experienced similar wounds, I felt that Heavenly Father and Mother had arranged our meeting.
Although our personalities matched well and we bonded quickly, our spiritual conditions were different. She hesitated to return to a life of faith. She said she was afraid—afraid of being hurt again, afraid of trying when her daily life already felt too hard. As her spiritual sister and someone a little older, I tried to comfort her with sincerity. She appreciated it, but still could not make a firm decision.
A few days later, our group leader and I visited her home. After a long conversation, we gently held her hands and said: “Heavenly Mother is waiting for you. Let’s go back to Her.”
She stayed silent for a while, deep in thought. Then she finally said she would come to Zion on the Sabbath. That Sabbath, she took an express bus from Busan to Changwon to attend worship. After returning home, she called me and said:
“After attending the service, it felt like my heart— which had stopped—began to beat again. I’m so happy to meet Heavenly Father and Mother again. Thank you for not giving up on me and for helping me feel Mother’s love.”
Her words moved me deeply. I had simply tried to be a messenger of the gospel, but the reason my heart was drawn to her was because Mother never gives up on a single soul. When she said, “just like Mother,” I felt humbled and could only give glory to God.
Now, the sister studies the Bible joyfully and walks her life of faith with enthusiasm. She understands the teachings clearly and puts them into practice right away. She also has a burning desire to share the truth. Recently, she changed jobs and met a wonderful coworker—who, to our surprise, turned out to be a Zion member from another region. The two of them started preaching together at work and even take part in preaching after work. All of this happened in less than a month. Watching her now, so passionate in the gospel when she once hesitated even to come to Zion, I can clearly see the abundant blessings Father and Mother are pouring upon her.
Through her, I realized once again that we must never give up on even one soul. How can we give up on someone whom Heavenly Father and Mother never give up on? If They desire all people to be saved, how could we possibly turn away from even one? I am truly grateful to Father and Mother for allowing me to meet this beautiful sister and for giving me the unwavering heart not to give up. I earnestly pray that every beloved member of our heavenly family will remain in Father and Mother until the very end—and that not a single soul will be missing in the kingdom of heaven.
