On November 30, 2017, we held a cleanup with the slogan “Mother’s Street” behind the Quezon City City Hall. The volunteers were mostly young adults. Whenever we passed by, people asked us where we were from and what we were doing. They seemed to be much curious to see many young people carry out volunteer activities with smiles.

“We are from the Church of God. We’re spreading Mother’s love to people. Good morning!”

Although the weather was very hot, I was much encouraged that we could shine God’s glory by participating in the volunteer event. Though what we could do was very small, I was filled with joy. We picked up garbage one by one like treasure until we filled up lots of garbage bags until they seemed to explode. The residents of the area, especially senior citizens, thanked us for doing such a beautiful work.

I was very proud to be a member of the Church of God. I was still a university student but I was able to contribute to community. As a member of the Church of God, I can worship God in truth and share God’s love with others by volunteering with my little hands. I hope that many more university students will devote their ample time to helping our neighbors live in a better and cleaner world, and to worship God in truth after realizing the true Saviors in this age testified in the Bible.
