Due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Mongolia issued a powerful ban on gathering of people and lockdown from February of the last year. Following the government’s COVID-19 guidelines, the members of the Church of God have been doing activities in contact-free manner such as keeping online worship services and providing online education. Furthermore, the members have been steadily giving a helping hand to their neighbors suffering from difficulties caused by COVID-19 pandemic by donating face masks, groceries, and snacks to them.

After the freezing winter had passed, Mongolia Church Association held an online Bible seminar in preparation for the Passover, on February 28 when a feeling of spring began to spread. Since it was the first online Bible seminar on a national scale, the members prepared for the seminar, praying with one mind to make known the truth of salvation to people in this age rampant with various disasters.

On the day of the Bible seminar, only a skeleton staff, including MCs, presenters, and film crews, gathered at the Zaisan Church in Ulaanbaatar. The seminar proceeded for about an hour from 12:30 p.m. on the subject, “The Mystery of the Passover.” It was broadcast live via video conference and received fervent response from people from all walks of life. About 1,000 people throughout Mongolia, including 500 people who received the online invitation cards from their families and friends, attended the online seminar.

According to the Bible, the presenters informed people of the Passover, the promise of God’s salvation, through which disasters pass over us. They helped invitees understand the Passover through various cases from the history of the Bible such as the story of the Israelites what escaped plagues by keeping the Passover during the Exodus.

The invitees who listened to the online presentation could easily understand the importance of the Passover, and they all said they wanted to keep the Passover of the year. Erdenechimeg (an accountant), who was invited by her friend to the seminar, said, “The history of the Israelites, who escaped the disaster by keeping the Passover, was very impressive. I really want to learn more about how we can keep the Passover in this age, through the Bible.”

On March 15, another round of online Bible seminar was held, entitled “The Kingdom of Heaven & the Passover.” About 1,400 people participated in the event and had an opportunity to have correct perception toward the Church of God and the truth of the Passover in the Bible. Just like King Hezekiah who sent couriers throughout Israel in order to achieve national stability and be protected by God, the members made a resolution to go throughout Mongolia and the entire world to preach the truth of the Passover.
