Those Who Hope in God Will Renew Their Strength

I was not motivated to do anything, just like a plant that had lost its vigor and faded away. My self-respect also dropped to the bottom level.

I knew that I had to overcome myself, but it was not easy to do so. What was worse, there was a whisper of darkness in my mind; “Lay all down now.” It was tempting, but I couldn’t give up because I had a heavenly home to return to.

I urgently needed spiritual strength. Then I happened to read some verses that touched my soul.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isa 40:29–31

While praying to God over and over again to renew my strength, I realized this fact: Those who hope in God are always filled with strength, but I did not hope in God and was missing God-given opportunities for His children to gain strength. I took heart again and offered up a prayer of thanks to God, who constantly gives us new strength to do what we desire.
