Sharing a Treasure

When Thomas Edison invented the phonograph, he actively promoted his new machine through science magazines and newspapers. Later, when he began experimenting to develop the incandescent light bulb, he again shared the news through the press. As public interest grew, major investors came forward to support his work financially.

Edison’s inventions became even greater because he didn’t keep them to himself; he made sure people knew about them so they could become more widely used and appreciated.

When we come up with something we believe is helpful or valuable, it becomes even more meaningful when we actively share it with others. Instead of keeping it to ourselves, letting others know can turn it into a true treasure that benefits many.
