Two Executives

The CEO of a company came up with an innovative idea after much consideration. If the idea would be shaped up after thorough market research, it would be an opportunity of great success indeed. The CEO called in two executives and ambitiously explained the idea to them who could be entrusted with the new work. He asked them with expectation.

“Which department wants to take up the project?”

Then, one executive answered with a somber look: “My department may not be able to do it. Manager Lee has a weak drive, and Assistant Manager Park is not flexible. Choi is lazy and often late for work. I can’t entrust any work to them. I’m frustrated with my department members, too.”

The other executive said in an excited voice: “My department members will take part in it actively when they hear this plan. Manager Kim has a sense of responsibility though he has a weak drive, and Assistant Manager Kang is impetuous that he sometimes messes up things but he has great mobility. Hwang lacks experience as he’s still in a probationary period, but he is highly motivated. If you entrust this task to my department, we will do our best.”

The latter executive completed the new project successfully.
