The Best Choice That I’ve Ever Made in My Life
Kim Geum-ja from Ansan, South Korea

It has been three years since I became a child of God. So far, I’ve preached the truth to my family, wishing to share the heavenly blessing with them. Though it was hard, I didn’t give up and prayed to God day after day, asking to save all of my family members. During the last prayer week of the autumn feast, my prayer became even more earnest.
I have a nephew whom I raised from his childhood. He is now working in Macao. He used to attend our church events like the “Our Mother” Writing & Photo Exhibition, and studied the Bible when he was in Korea. I wanted my nephew, who is like my own child, to stay in the truth. But it could not be realized because of his mom—my sister who disagreed with that. One day in September, my nephew in Macao called me.
“Aunt, I met some members from the Church of God yesterday. They looked really happy when I said, ‘My aunt attends the Church of God.’ ” When the members preached about Heavenly Mother, he told them he’d already heard it from me and known it all. He said he met them that day, too, and made an appointment to go to the church the next day.
“Oh, you did a good job. It will be the best choice you’ve ever made in your life. I really hope you will go to the church tomorrow and receive the blessing from God.”
My heart was throbbing with joy and my voice was shaking. After the call, I prayed to Father and Mother to allow him to be a heavenly child.
In the afternoon the next day, I got a call from him. He said he was now in the church and received the blessing of a new life. I was happy that I could not control it. My earnest prayers that I offered for three years were finally answered even overseas.
His friend, too, wanted to go to church together and so they were planning to come on the Sabbath day. I could say nothing but “You did a good job, congratulations.”
I repeatedly said to God, “Thank You. Thank You so much.” What happened to my nephew in Macao was like a miracle. I was thankful to God for granting such a miracle to me.
I hope my nephew, who has just taken the first step of faith, will receive the words of God in Zion and grow strong in faith. I will diligently sow the seeds of the gospel, believing that there is a time for other family members too to be saved in the will of God.
