It was always my dream to preach overseas. My dream grew bigger and bitter whenever I heard the fragrance of Zion from young adults of my age that they bore many good fruits by preaching the gospel overseas in the scorching heat or piercing cold. However, the situation was not favorable for me. I was anxious to go overseas, although I didn’t express it.
As I tried to console myself, God comforted me with a sermon during worship. After listening to the sermon, I came to realize the fact that God loves me more than I love myself and eagerly wants me to be saved and blessed. My heart was overflowing with gratitude when I realized that the path given to me now was the most blessed path led by God who loves me more than anyone else I was given a blessing right away.
Three years ago, I met a young woman from Taiwan. I was sure that she’s a heavenly family member, but she went back to Taiwan soon after we met, so we couldn’t keep in touch with each other. My memory of her was fading away, and several months ago I came to know her contact number. I wasn’t sure if she was in Korea or if she would remember me. I hesitated at first, but I made up my mind to contact her. When she received my message, she immediately texted me back saying “I’m in Korea now.” Several days later, she visited Zion. After studying the words of truth, she received a new life and started attending worship services. It must’ve been difficult for her to understand the sermons in Korean during worship, but she concentrated on each sermon with twinkling eyes. It made me think, ‘She’s truly my heavenly sister!’
God prepared every path for the sister who had to return to Taiwan because she graduated from a Korean language school. There was a Zion close to her house. In addition, I happened to meet a Zion member who came from Taiwan to attend a church event held in Korea, and I introduced the sister to the member. The sister went back to Taiwan and continued to go to church as she had promised; she grew in faith at Zion in Taipei and graciously kept her first Passover.
“You carried out the overseas mission in Korea,” a Zion member said to me.
At that moment, I realized that Mother granted my wish. My prayer, which I thought remained unanswered, was actually answered according to God’s way when the time came. Wherever I was, God allowed me to obey the words of the prophecy: “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Mt 28:19).
I pray that the sister will become a great gospel worker to display the glory of God Elohim in Taiwan. I too will strive for the completion of world mission wherever I am.
