If We Remain in God Until the End

When I was in middle school, I was a troublemaker who never listened. I did whatever I wanted, always full of complaints, frowning, and rebelling. I did not practice God’s teachings—such as speaking with grace, greeting warmly, or showing consideration for others. In high school, I tried to pull myself together and change, but it was not easy. Serving my brothers and sisters and praying for others, as I had learned in Zion, felt beyond my ability.

Even so, I never missed the student group gatherings. Whether it rained or I was out with friends, I always made sure to attend.

Before long, I became a young adult and wanted to take part in many gospel activities such as IWBA and short-term missions. I began to dream of becoming a protagonist of the gospel who brings joy to Mother, so I eagerly joined the young adult group. It was not easy to wake up early on Sunday mornings for Bible studies or to sit through long lessons, but I always went.

Now I serve as a gospel worker, devoting myself to God’s work—something that once seemed like an impossible dream in my school days. Back then, when I was struggling with weak faith and a rough personality, a senior member once said to me,

“If you remain in Mother until the end, She will transform you and lead you to heaven.”

Those words became my strength. Although I often felt frustrated at how difficult it was to change, I believe I was able to grow little by little because Mother never rebuked me for being slow, but prayed for me with love. Even now, I have many shortcomings, but I believe that as long as I remain in Zion and continue to try, God will surely transform me. Until the day I am changed into the image of an angel, I want to stay by Mother’s side as Her child, walking the path of faith without wavering—until the very end.
