ASEZ STAR Gangwon Church Association Delivers Coal Briquettes in Hwangji-dong, Taebaek

On February 5, approximately 130 members of the World Mission Society Church of God Student Volunteer Group (ASEZ STAR) from the Gangwon Church Association delivered a total of 1,000 coal briquettes to two senior households living alone in Hwangji-dong, Taebaek, Korea. Braving the freezing weather, the members bundled up with earmuffs, scarves, and gloves, and formed a human chain to pass along the briquettes.

Kim Do-yeon, an ASEZ STAR member from Chuncheon, said, “I hope the briquettes we delivered today help the elderly stay warm through the rest of the winter.” Hong Ji-young, a Taebaek City Councilor, expressed appreciation for the effort, saying, “It must have felt like meeting their own grandchildren for the seniors—a truly heartwarming moment.”
