On February 8, about 40 members of the ASEZ WAO Georgetown Branch in Malaysia, along with local residents, carried out the “No More GPGP” project at Seagate Beach in Bayan Lepas. ASEZ WAO is the Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group. The participants collected approximately 250 kg of waste, including discarded plastic, and raised environmental awareness through informational displays. Fahmi Zainol, a member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly, visited the site and presented ASEZ WAO with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its efforts to protect the environment.

Poon Jin Cheng, who participated in the activity with a friend, said, “I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I saw how clean the beach had become through everyone’s efforts. I hope more people will join efforts to protect the environment in their local communities.”
