On November 19, 15 members of ASEZ, the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group, from the University of the Republic of Uruguay gathered at Liceo No. 3 Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga in Montevideo. The activity was carried out in response to a request from Municipality CH of Montevideo, which aligned with ASEZ’s RCT (Reduce Crime Together) project. The members painted a mural on the school’s exterior wall to help create a safer and more welcoming environment. With support from the municipality, including paint and rollers, the members first removed dust and debris from the wall and then painted an image of a harmonious family, bringing warmth and positivity to the surroundings.

Beatriz Dantex, Principal of Liceo No. 3 Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga, welcomed ASEZ’s efforts, saying, “Students are now able to study in a safer environment.” Matilde Antía, Mayor of Municipality CH, also expressed her appreciation, stating, “Today’s activity will bring positive change to the local community. Thank you for continuously helping care for public spaces together with Municipality CH,” and presented a certificate of appreciation.
