ASEZ Members at Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa Plant Trees
Creating a Sustainable Environment
On January 25, approximately 30 ASEZ members at Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and local residents planted 20 trees along Mears Street in the City of Tshwane. ASEZ is the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group. The activity was carried out to improve the local environment and contribute to carbon neutrality. The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment and the City of Tshwane provided the trees, planting tools, and bottled water.
“When I first came here, the area was lush and green, but much of it has since been damaged,” said Rose Perotti, who has lived near Mears Street for 20 years. “It was meaningful to plant trees with ASEZ members today and help restore the environment.”
