Mother, Our Eternal Home

Christ Ahnsahnghong walked the path of the gospel for thirty-seven years, according to the prophecy of David’s throne. He revealed Heavenly Mother to us, His children, and told us to faithfully follow Her guidance so that we might return to our heavenly home. His handwritten words, “Elisha followed Elijah, Joshua followed Moses, Peter followed Jesus, and I follow Mother,” also convey the message that we can receive blessings when we obey Mother’s teachings.

The coming of Mother, who will lead us to heaven, was already foretold by Father when He came to this earth two thousand years ago. Jesus declared, “I will raise them up at the last day,” indicating that He would grant eternal life to mankind in the last days (Jn 6:39, 40, 44, 54). Just as Eve appeared at the end of the sixth day of creation, Mother appears in the last age to give us life (Rev 21:9–10; Gal 4:26). Now is the prophesied time for mankind to receive Mother and come to Her.

The Life of Salmon Returning Home

There are many wonders found in the natural world God created. One of them is the life of salmon as they fight their way back to their birthplace. Salmon are born in freshwater rivers and migrate to the ocean, where they spend several years before returning to their natal rivers when it is time to spawn. Scientists believe that salmon navigate using a magnetic material called magnetite and find their way back home through their acute sense of smell.

When salmon reach the mouth of the river, they undergo dramatic physical changes as their bodies adjust from saltwater back to freshwater. Their gills and kidneys change rapidly, and their digestive system starts to break down. From that point on, they stop eating entirely; they do not eat during their journey back to their natal stream. Along the way, they may be taken by predators lying in wait. Even so, the salmon swim upstream against raging currents and leap over waterfalls without hesitation as they press on toward home. Upon reaching their natal streams, they lay eggs for the next generation and then die.

God created all things according to His will (Rev 4:11). We, the heavenly children, fight against the current of this world like the ocean to find our way back to Heavenly Mother, our spiritual home. Our journey toward Mother can be compared to the life of salmon returning to their natal streams. On our way to heaven, we learn an important lesson from the journey of salmon that endure painful physical changes and overcome all obstacles to return home.

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” Rev 22:17

Our destination is the kingdom of heaven, where the Spirit and the Bride—God the Father and God the Mother—dwell. Since there is no death in heaven (Rev 21:4), Father and Mother are calling us to receive the water of life, that is, eternal life.

As we respond to Their call and make our way toward the kingdom of heaven, we too must undergo many changes. Just as salmon undergo physical changes to return home, we must also change, leaving behind a worldly way of life and pursuing a spiritual life in order to return to our heavenly home. It takes a great deal of effort to adapt to a spiritual, heavenly life, casting off worldly habits and sinful nature.

The Change God Desires

It is not easy to leave behind worldly habits and ways of thinking. Yet those who embrace this change and persevere can enter the kingdom of heaven.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Ro 12:2

People who do not believe in God often speak and act however they please. When we see them doing so, we may sometimes feel that following God’s teachings is burdensome and difficult. However, our destination is not this world but the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, our standard by which we live must be different from that of the world. We must cast off all sinful habits and wrongful acts that are not pleasing in God’s sight, even if people of the world see nothing wrong with them. Only when we faithfully follow the instructions and teachings of our Heavenly Father and Mother in Zion can we truly move forward toward the eternal kingdom of heaven.

The Bible tells us that we cannot see the kingdom of God unless we are born again (Jn 3:3). As God’s children, let us always examine ourselves by the standard of heaven, discern God’s will, and live accordingly.

“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Pe 1:4–8

God desires us to participate in the divine nature. Let us continually change ourselves in God. To participate in the divine nature, we must have faith and goodness. We must also gain knowledge of God’s word, exercise self-control in all things, and persevere, and live godly lives. In addition, we should love our brothers and sisters and extend love to everyone. When we are transformed in this way, we can bear the fruit of the gospel, that is, the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Recently, the “Words of Mother’s Love That Bring Peace” campaign has been warmly received both within and outside the church. As the members put Heavenly Mother’s request into practice by speaking words of consideration, encouragement, and humility, many people share how their families and those around them have become warmer and more harmonious. The joyful news also keeps pouring in from all over the world that souls moved by God’s good teachings are being led to Zion one after another.

It takes considerable effort to transform our thoughts, words, and actions, which have long been shaped by the pleasures and values of this world, so that they align with God’s will. Now is the time for us to change according to Mother’s teachings. Let us strive to be transformed day by day, lead many souls to the path of life, bear abundant fruit of the gospel, and move forward vigorously toward the kingdom of heaven.

Overcoming Adversity With the Full Armor of God

The salmon’s journey home is not an easy one. As they swim upstream, they face many predators, including bears and wolves. Strong currents and harsh conditions also block their path. Even so, they keep swimming toward home, unafraid of any dangers they face.

In the same way, we face various forms of spiritual opposition on our journey to the spiritual home where our Heavenly Father and Mother are calling us. Satan prowls around like a roaring lion, constantly trying to draw God’s children away from the truth through worldly temptations and deception. However, just as no predator can break the salmon’s instinct to return home, nothing can shake our hope for heaven. The Bible teaches us to put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against Satan’s schemes and be victorious.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. . . .” Eph 6:10–20

“Listen, a noise on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations massing together! The LORD Almighty is mustering an army for war.” Isa 13:4

Just as a commander in the army inspects his soldiers, God examines us to see whether we are equipped with the full armor of God. He checks whether we are strong in body and spirit, whether our weapons are properly prepared, whether our faith is firm, whether we are devoted to His word and diligent in preaching the gospel, and whether our hope for heaven remains unshaken. He refines us in many ways and, through this process, helps us grow day by day as people of God, ultimately leading us to the eternal kingdom of heaven.

The Rest of the Woman’s Offspring Who Will Overcome Satan’s Opposition

This does not please Satan in the spiritual realm. God forewarned us that Satan would oppose His children on their journey toward their eternal home.

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Ge 3:15

God put eternal enmity between the woman, Eve, and the serpent. In the Bible, Eve represents God the Mother, the Mother of all the living, while the serpent symbolizes Satan the devil (Ge 3:20; Rev 12:9). Therefore, the children of Heavenly Mother can never stand on Satan’s side. This prophecy is repeated in the book of Revelation, which records what will happen in the last days.

“Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.” Rev 12:17

The serpent in Genesis reappears as the dragon in Revelation, standing against the woman—our Heavenly Mother—and the rest of Her offspring. The apostle John also clearly recorded the distinguishing characteristics of the children of God the Mother who stand with Her: they keep God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Those who have inherited God’s flesh and blood through the Passover are the ones who have the testimony that they are God’s children, faithfully keeping the Sabbath and the festivals of the new covenant according to the Bible. They are the true children of God. God will protect them to the very end and lead them to their eternal home. As God’s children who keep the truth of the new covenant, we are earnestly longing for the kingdom of heaven. So, let us be faithful to God’s instructions and teachings, following His decrees, statutes, and laws. Though we may face trials and hardships, let us run toward the kingdom of heaven with all our strength, relying on God’s love and help.

Into the Embrace of Jerusalem, Our Eternal Home

Let us look at the prophetic scene of those who keep God’s commandments, refusing to be enslaved by Satan’s power and standing with Mother to the very end.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. . . . Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?” Isa 60:1–8

Isaiah 60 is a prophecy about the glory that awaits Jerusalem. It says that when the light of Jerusalem shines upon the world that is covered in spiritual darkness under Satan’s rule, nations and kings will come to her light, and her children will return to her.

Therefore, we must not remain silent but diligently proclaim the glory of our Heavenly Jerusalem Mother, following the prophecy. Let us raise our voices to boast about Mother, our spiritual home, who leads us to the kingdom of heaven. As we display Her glory by performing good deeds and preaching the gospel, countless souls will return to Her embrace like clouds and like doves, just as the prophecy foretold.

“For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish . . . The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel. ‘Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations. . . . The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.’” Isa 60:12–22

It is prophesied that the days of sorrow, caused by those who oppress and despise Jerusalem, will end, and that the days of glory will surely come. Today, we are witnessing the fulfillment of this prophecy. Through the sacrifice of our Heavenly Father and Mother, Zion—the city of truth— has been firmly established throughout the world, and the members of Zion, who serve as the light and salt of the world according to Mother’s will are now receiving praise and honor.

Although God Almighty could accomplish all these things from the very beginning, He allows us to participate in the gospel work, which He has planned and leads, so that we can become a heavenly royal priesthood through the process of refinement. When we are finally transformed through Mother’s good teachings, overcome all sin, and return to heaven, God will crown us with victory and grant us the glory of reigning forever and ever (Rev 22:5). Remembering the grace and love of our Heavenly Father and Mother, let us always stand with Them and fulfill Their will.

There are still many souls in the world waiting to hear the voice of Father and Mother. Let us proclaim the glory of Jerusalem Mother and lead them to join us on this journey to our heavenly home. I earnestly ask all of you, our Zion family members, to run the race of faith to the end and reach our heavenly home, just as salmon press on toward home to the very end despite every challenge, rather than settling for their present circumstances and remaining in the sea.
