On February 8, about 100 members of ASEZ WAO, the Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group, from the Pretoria and Johannesburg areas of South Africa removed one metric ton of the invasive Pompom weed from Groenkloof Nature Reserve. The activity was carried out at the request of the City of Tshwane. Leanne De Jager, a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, along with City of Tshwane Councilors Derick Mahlangu and Gert Visser, visited the site and expressed their appreciation to the members for their efforts.
