Dedication Services for the Churches in Jinju and Daegu, Korea

After the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Mission Society Church of God held the new temple dedication ceremony in Gyeongsang Province for the first time in the New Year of 2023. It was held for the church in Jinju, Gyeongnam, on January 27, and for the church in Dalseong, Daegu, on the 29th. ASEZ Carries Out the Reduce Crime Together [RCT] School in Mindanao, Philippines

On January 22, ASEZ members held the RCT School at Ireneo Santiago National High School located in General Santos, South Cotabato, the Philippines. More than 200 people attended the event, including the General Santos Police Chief and the Deputy Mayor of General Santos as well as Ireneo Santiago National High School students and teachers. At 10 a.m., the RCT School education began with an ASEZ member’s presentation. Sharing Love With Neighbors for the New Year

The Church of God in Korea donated 4,720 micro-fibre blankets to 220 government offices from January 9 to 18, just before the Lunar New Year holiday. The members of each region visited their government office, hoping that just as a blanket covers the body from cold weather, it would comfort the neighbors who were exhausted from the severe cold waves and the economic hardship caused by the aftermath of COVID-19. The blankets were donated to city halls, ward offices, and administrative welfare centers nationwide to be delivered to neighbors in need of helping hands, such as single senior citizens living alone, adolescent-headed families, single parent families, multicultural families, and families with disabilities. On January 15, the Church of God in Riverside, CA, U.S. provided beauty services at Loma Linda Veterans Village located in San Bernardino County, CA. The Veterans Village is a residential facility for the U.S. veterans and their families, and 63 members volunteered to express their gratitude to them through the event. The Church of God organized orchestra concerts in various places in Lima, Peru, this year, in order to deliver comfort and hope through music to citizens exhausted from the COVID-19 pandemic that lasted for more than two years. Donating the Disaster Relief Aid for Recovering From Tonga Volcano Eruption

In January, 2022, a submarine volcano erupted near the Island of Hunga Tonga and covered the whole country of Tonga with volcanic ashes. Shock waves from the explosion caused three tsunami waves, which damaged or destroyed about 470 households. The residents who lost their homes overnight could no longer use the rain water as drinking water due to the thick layer of volcanic ashes. Furthermore, due to the prolonged El Nino phenomenon, severe droughts occurred, which worsened the situation. Students are glad to see their friends again at school, but they have difficulty adapting to changed school hours and complying with school regulations.
